At age nine, Richard Eyer got his start in the world of acting. Eyer began his career with roles in "Father Knows Best" (1954-1967), the comedy "Ma and Pa Kettle at Home" (1954) with Marjorie Main and the dramatic adaptation "Sincerely Yours" (1955) with Liberace. Eyer next focused his career on film, appearing in the crime drama "The Desperate Hours" (1955) with Humphrey Bogart, the Ann Sheridan drama "Come Next Spring" (1956) and the drama "Friendly Persuasion" (1956) with Gary Cooper. He also appeared in "The Invisible Boy" (1957) and "The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad" (1958). Later in his career, Eyer acted in "Hell to Eternity" (1960).
